SafetyCulture a Finalist at the 2012 NSCA Awards

07:39 pm, Wednesday 5 September, 2012

SafetyCulture Engineers Alan Stephensen and Dylan Mathiesen working on the architecture o fiAuditor

We are proud to announce that SafetyCulture has been selected as a finalist at the National Safety Awards of Excellence 2012 for the development of the iAuditor Application in the “Best Solution of an OHS Workplace Risk”.

We have been amazed at how well our iAuditor Application has been received by the users, the people on the frontline at the worksites, and to now acknowledgement from the premier safety organisation in Australia as well means to us that we must be on the right track.

What is the iAuditor Application?

The iAuditor application,  was released in February this year.

The purpose behind this application was to somehow reduce the amount of time it takes for a workplace to conduct safety audits, inspections and create checklists, and to make it easy to not only complete but to share within organisations easily.

Some of the industries that are currently use iAuditor include aviation, education, food, accommodation, construction and medical and more.

SafetyCulture Managing Director, Luke Anear says, “It has been very exciting to see industry embrace the collaborative model and share information to work smarter. There have been over 250,000 safety templates downloaded from the cloud that we built, and that means many workers are working together to use what others have created and then improving on it for their own use.  Every day we are contacted by companies all over the world who have significantly improved their work flow and found efficiencies with their compliance checks and safety audits. We have some exciting new releases coming up that will expand on the iAuditor model over the coming months.”

This is the 20th year that the Awards have been presented and they are considered Australia’s prestigious safety awards program. With a history of celebrating businesses and people and acknowledging that OHS is vital in successful business performance.

SafetyCulture’s philosophy is that every worker in the world has the right to a safe work place

and by embracing the digital age we are seeking to deliver this for as little cost as possible.
