A water leak at Epworth Freemasons Hospital forced authorities to evacuate staff and patients from the Melbourne hospital on Friday.

No injuries were reported due to the flooding at the hospital’s three floors but patients, especially those needing special care, are being evacuated to other areas of the hospital for safety measures. The Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) are still trying to determine the cause of the leak.

11 trucks from the MFB were at the scene after being alerted at around 3:10 in the afternoon.
