Man injured in quad bike rollover east of Blackwater

A man has been injured in a quad bike incident in the Central Highlands Region in Queensland.

Emergency crews were called to a property, about 49km east of Blackwater, following reports of a quad bike rollover on Tuesday morning.

A rescue helicopter was called to the scene to transport the injured man to a hospital.

The man believed to be aged in his 50s suffered suspected spinal injuries as a result of the incident.

So far this year, 10 people have been killed in quad bike incidents in Australia. In 2016, there were 9 quad bike fatalities in Australia.
