An ATV rider has been taken to hospital after being impaled by a tree branch in central northern New South Wales.
The man in his 30s was riding his ATV south-east of Dubbo Sunday afternoon when the tree branch crashed through his four-wheeler.
He suffered serious injuries after his leg was impaled by a branch shortly before 3pm.
After being freed by emergency services, the man was transported to Dubbo Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
He was transported in a stable condition.
