Perth man dies after workplace incident

A man has died after a workplace incident in Perth’s south-east.

Reports indicated the man, aged in his 40s, was unloading steel pipes from a truck at a Welshpool worksite on Friday morning when he was injured.

Paramedics were called to the incident just after 9am.

The man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where he died a short time later.

WorkSafe will investigate the incident.
