Worker loses part of finger in workplace incident

A worker was rushed to hospital after his finger was partially amputated in an incident involving a bandsaw on Thursday afternoon.

The incident was at a food processing plant in Tamworth shortly before 2 pm.

The man was taken to Tamworth hospital by ambulance paramedics.

SafeWork NSW will investigate the incident.
