A man has been injured in a quad bike crash in central Queensland.
The man rolled his quad bike in Emerald about 7am on Saturday morning.
Police said the man in his 30s suffered back injuries following the incident.
He was transported to Emerald Hospital by ambulance paramedics.
Every year quad bikes are a major cause of death and serious injury in rural workplaces with many incidents associated with rollovers.
According to Safe Work Australia, in 2016, there were 10 quad bike fatalities in Australia including workers and non-workers, and 50% of these were related to rollovers.
