The theme for this October ‘s WorkSafe Tasmania month is Future Work, Future Challenges, aiming to raise awareness of current and new challenges faced by Tasmanian workers.
WorkSafe Month 2018 adopts these future possibilities as the theme for its events, to help employers and workers prepare for the challenges and changes ahead.
Free work health and safety events, spanning from state-wide workshops on effective risk management to a virtual seminar series presented by Safe Work Australia, will be held as part of the program, Building and Construction Minister Guy Barnett said in a statement.
“Running throughout October, WorkSafe Month 2018 includes the biennial WorkSafe Conference, to be held on 22 and 23 October at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart,” Mr. Barnett said.
“The WorkSafe Conference will examine the future risks our workers and workplaces face, including increased use of digital technologies and changing employment patterns.
“The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to ensuring work health and safety stays front of mind so that all Tasmanians go home safely at the end of each day.”
