Workplace fatalities pass 100 mark


The latest workplace fatality figures from Safe Work Australia show 101 Australians workers have been killed at work since the beginning of this year.

Transport, postal & warehousing industry has recorded 33 fatalities, Agriculture, forestry & fishing 25 and Construction 14 fatalities.

The figures show 7 mine workers have been killed at work in 2019, while Electricity, gas, water & waste services and Public administration & safety have each 6 fatalities.

Others include Manufacturing 3 fatalities, Other services, Professional, scientific & technical services and Wholesale trade each 2 fatalities. The Administrative & support services industry has so far recorded 1 fatality.

  1. We are being conditioned to figures like this, it will only change when those who lead, actually change their belief…..for no percieved benefit.
