A man has been injured after he fell from a roof at a work site south of Sydney.
Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene Friday morning following reports that a young man had fallen from a roof.
The man suffered neck and back injuries as a result of the fall.
He was stabilised at the scene before being taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
Across all Australian industries, each day 21 workers lodge a workers’ compensation claim for a fall-related injury which requires one or more weeks off work. A typical claim sees the worker off work for over six weeks.
