Man dies after crane tips over at University of Canberra hospital worksite

A man has died after a mobile crane tipped over at the University of Canberra Public Hospital worksite on Thursday night.

ACT police and ambulance paramedics were called to the incident at about 6.40pm.

According to reports, the mobile crane was moving a large generator at low height when it rolled on its side and struck the man.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene

WorkSafe ACT has commenced an investigating into the incident.
