A man has had his foot amputated after a workplace incident in southern Queensland.
The man in his 50s was reportedly cleaning equipment at an abattoir about, 32km north-west of Toowoomba when his foot became trapped in a conveyor belt.
The LifeFlight Helicopter aeromedical crew were tasked to the scene shortly before 1am Tuesday to airlift the injured man.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Workplace Health and Safety are investigating.
