Safe Work Australia has released the latest workplace fatality figures.
The figures show 77 Australian workers have been killed at work in 2019.
Transport, postal & warehousing has recorded the highest number of fatalities, with 25 deaths. Agriculture, forestry & fishing have seen 17 fatalities while the Construction industry has so far lost 11 workers.
There have been 7 fatalities in Public administration & safety, 6 in the Electricity, gas, water & waste services industry and 5 in the mining industry.
Professional, scientific & technical services and Wholesale trade have each two fatalities, while manufacturing and Other services have one fatality each.
