SafeWork NSW to host a Musculoskeletal Disorders Symposium

SafeWork NSW will host a Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) Symposium on November 8-9 to share ideas about best-practice approaches to managing hazardous manual tasks and prevention of MSDs in the workplace.

The two-day symposium will focus on three key streams:

  • Landscape – NSW businesses embed a work health and safety landscape that addresses risks that lead to MSDs
  • NSW businesses use a systemic approach to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to MSD hazards and risk factors
  • Lessons learnt – NSW businesses, injured workers, and health professional’s work together to learn from MSD injuries and make improvements

Four leading researchers and industry experts will deliver keynote addresses. There will also be practical presentations and workshops. A detailed program will be available on SafeWork NSW’s website.
