Man airlifted to hospital after quad bike crash on CQ property

A man was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a quad bike crash in central Queensland.

The man in his 50s was airlifted from a property north of Emerald after he was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics on Wednesday evening.

He was transported to Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment.

As at 11 June, there have been 9 quad bike fatalities in 2019, according to Safe Work Australia figures.

  1. Quad bikes are not a toy or plaything, if riders fail to respect the dangers then incidents and deaths will continue. Governments need to take a lead on Quad bike safety!
