Emergency crews free worker trapped in machine north of Melbourne

Emergency crews had to cut a Melbourne worker free after his arm became trapped in a machine.

Crews were called to a brick making factory in Thomastown shortly before 8am on Wednesday.

Firefighters worked to free the man who was reportedly trapped three levels above the ground.

He was treated at the scene before being transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the incident.
