A truck driver was trapped for two hours in the cab of his truck following a crash in Western Sydney.
The truck crashed into the rear of a street sweeper on James Ruse Drive, North Parramatta at about 1.35am Sunday night. The emergency services had to cut through the truck’s front panel for almost two hours before they were able to free the man.
The victim was brought to Westmead Hospital with possible spinal injuries. The driver of the street sweeper did not suffer from any injury.
Police had to close a portion of the westbound lanes of James Ruse Drive during the investigation.
