A Perth trucking company has been fined $160,000 for safety violations after two workers were fatally crushed by falling concrete panels more than two years ago.
The company was fined at the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to failing to provide a safe work environment, thus causing the death of two workers.
The two men died after they were struck by concrete tilt panels as they were being unloaded from a trailer at an East Perth construction site on November 25, 2015.
The workers had entered an area used for smoking breaks when they were fatally injured.
The company was also ordered to pay $2,200 in costs.
