Worker hospitalised after being crushed by pallets west of Sydney

A 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was crushed by a tonne of pallets at a worksite west of Sydney.

The incident happened at a construction site in Wetherill Park Wednesday morning.

CareFlight helicopter was called to the scene just after 10.30am.

The man was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic arrived.

The CareFlight medical team provided treatment to the man who had suffered a serious leg injury.

He was later transported by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
