A man has been killed in a workplace incident at a wastewater treatment plant in Munster, about 28km south west of Perth.
The incident happened on Friday morning.
Police and emergency services were called to reports of a worker trapped under beams at the wastewater treatment plant around 10am.
The man believed to be aged in his 60s died at the scene.
WorkSafe is investigating the incident.
Commerce and Industrial Relations Minister Bill Johnston said he was saddened by the news of the fatality.
“The safety of workers is one of the McGowan Government’s highest priorities.
“We will investigate this matter further to find out exactly what happened and how it can be prevented in the future.”
