The Resources Regulator has commenced an investigation into a truck rollover incident at Werris Creek Mine in NSW.

According to initial investigation, a water cart was travelling down a ramp at the mine on April 2 when the driver lost control and the truck rolled on its side. He was able to remove himself from the cabin and was brought to a hospital. He suffered several injuries including a laceration on his back.

An Investigation Information Release will be published soon to provide information on the potential cause and circumstances of the incident and assist the mining industry in reducing the likelihood of a similar incident occurring.
