Latest workplace fatality figures from Safe Work Australia show 32 Australian workers have been killed at work so far this year.
Transport, postal & warehousing industry has recorded the highest number of workplace fatalities, with 10 workers killed so far.
The construction industry comes second with 9 fatalities while the Agriculture, forestry & fishing industry with 5 fatalities holds third place.
Other industries include Electricity, gas, water & waste services (3), Arts & recreation services (2), Manufacturing (1), Public administration & safety (1) and Accommodation & food services (1).
Safe Work Australia says the report is a preliminary estimate of the number of people killed while working, and once investigations are finalised, more accurate information becomes available from which Safe Work Australia updates details of the incident.
