A man has been injured after he fell through a roof at a building site in Sydney’s south-west.
The man in his 20s fell from a height in Oran Park shortly before 4pm on Thursday.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance paramedics.
SafeWork NSW is investigating the incident
Statistics from Safe Work Australia show between 2007 and 2016, falls from a height were the main cause of fatalities in both the building construction and construction services industry sub-divisions.
Across the whole construction industry, falls from a height caused 96 fatalities (or 27 per cent) over the 10 years to 2016.
