Machinery incident leaves NSW man seriously injured

A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a machinery incident at a worksite in northern New South Wales.

The man in his 60s suffered serious injuries after his hand reportedly became trapped in the motor of a bulldozer near Armidale on Thursday afternoon.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics from Westpac Rescue Helicopter before being flown to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

He travelled in a stable condition.
