Woman suffers serious injuries after being scalped in workplace incident

A woman’s scalp was ripped from her head after her hair became caught in a machine in south-eastern New South Wales.

The woman in her 40s suffered severe head injuries following the incident in Bolong shortly before 10am on Thursday.

She was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being flown to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

SafeWork NSW is investigating the incident.
