Pilot injured in light plane crash south west of Mundubbera

A pilot is suffering minor injuries after crashing his light plane in remote bushland, south west of Mundubbera.

The Jabiru the man was flying, reportedly suffered engine failure and crashed into dense forest on Tuesday morning.

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the scene just after 9:30am.

The pilot, a 62-year-old Western Australian man, suffered minor injuries and was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment.
